Hi,

since the last update from git on indi (today), make and sudo make install, i can't take picture with my asi120MM.

The driver freeze at 0,25s in average. After i must stop indi from ekos. I've activated the debug trace but i did see nothing :

INFO 144.701140 sec : Session log file /tmp/indi_asi_ccd_2016-10-05T18:42:59.log
DEBUG 149.763418 sec : Configuration successfully saved.
DEBUG 183.445638 sec : StartExposure->setexp : 6.000s
INFO 183.650463 sec : Taking a 6 seconds frame...

After.... nothing :S

Thank you.

yes, off course !!

i am on kubuntu 16.04 with :
- kstars 2.6.0 (the latest from the ppa with the new cool splash screen :-))
- kde framework 5.18.0
- qt 5.5.1
- libindi 1.2 (also, the latest from github and compiled by myself)

I tested on another pc and she work. During a moment, i've been afraid that she been broken.

A strange behavior with oacapture : it display 2 zwo cameras (zwasi & zwoasi2). neither of the two works.

Thakn you for you help.

The ZWO 120 series can be quite bitchy, We had the issue that it did not work with one notebook (quite new Acer) but with another one, software setup was exactly the same… Even more problematic on ARM devices (works fine with old 1st generation Raspi but not the much more powerful Banana Pi). Some people also reported that low quality USB hardware (cable and hub) issued failure.

Hi,
there are also two firmware versions for the ASI120MM from ZWO that can be switched with their firmware flashing tool (unfortunately Windows-only) which is available on the ZWO website (Support -> Software -> SDK & Upgrade tool). I could only get my ASI120MM working with the "compatible" firmware on Linux.

I precise, I use it from some month on my rpi3 without problem. I don't know if is the indi-asi upgrade (the last i've seen a asi driver update) but before that, she work fine.

I will look the firmware upgrade (per lucky, my wife has a pc with windows).

is that a lsusb must display camera ? Because, when i do a lsusb with the camera connected i don't see it.
maybe the problem doesn't come to indi but linux update. what do you think ?
Thank Adam & lupinix.

My asi work fine on windows (i tested with sharpcap). And this behavior is very newer (the last time that i used, average 10 days, she works fine). Since, i saw that ASI has new drivers...

nobody encounter this problem ?

Hi,
I had the same issue when using the precompiled packages on a Pi Zero (armv6) because they were compiled for armv7. Strange however, that you have problems on a Pi 2. Maybe they are compiled for armv8 now? So you could try to build the driver from source on the Pi, that solved it for me in case of the Pi Zero.

Just tested same camera on RPi2 running Raspbian and it's working fine. Nothing changed as far as compiling goes. I'm also using the prebuilt packages. Not sure where the problem is. Run it via gdb and see where it crashes.

i'm a jackass....

I mixed my sdcard between my 2 raspberries. And of course, for the camera, le static lib aren't the sames.... It's Adam that showed me the way (but isn't Peter Frampton B) ).
3 days of clear night lost due to my stupidity... grrr

Thanks Adam & Jasem for your precious help.
