I would like to try it too dokeeffe. But unfortunately if I do it I will lose the mod that Yang (zwo guy) gave me to make the resolution identical between ARM and INTEL devices for my 178MM.
But I am very interested to know the result you will get.

Can this be reproduced with Telescope Simulator?

I have made some tests.
The ASI 120MM-S connected to my laptop via USB3.
I have compiled successively the drivers with SDK versions V0.5.0.1215, V0.4.0929 and V0.3.0908.
2/
V0.3.0908: the diver can't be linked the code is too far from indi current code.

No, just tried now (and ensured the ASI driver was snooping on the telescope simulator). I could take exposures when the telescope simulator was connected

I tested my 120MM-S with the 2.6 version of Kstars/Ekos and, unbelievable, I got the same behaviour.
As why used with oacapture it works fine.
I am really lost, I don't understand.
Maybe my cam is defective.
