hi, something i would like to be sure, and certainly a silly question :
when your CCD has a bayer, and when you're binning more than 1x1,
it is impossible to render anything else than a black and white image, am i right ?

Correct, it's not supported now in the drivers.

but how could it be ?
i mean physically on a 2x2 square you have 2 green 1 red and 1 blue
Even with best of the best driver, if you bin 2x2, these colors are mixed and you completely loose the information, no ? :S
Or there might be particular CCD with particular geometry...
Or the 2x2 bining doesn't have to mix pixels that are close one to each other
(This is the mess in my head)

It would have to process it into 'super pixels' and compensate for the overabundance of green to make 1 pixel with a blend of all 4 pixels specific to your bayer pattern.
