I enabled debug and looked at different solution here and on other forums with no luck. Then I noticed this message that looked more like a warning than an error per se :
Mirror lock feature is not yet implemented for this camera model
1. I went back into the configuration and noticed that I did enter in the mirror lock setting (value =5, default = 0)
2. I reset the value to 0 and now my DSLR started working fine again
So, it seems that setting a value in INDI control panel > Main Control > Mirror Lock when the feature is not implemented for a camera model causes the camera to stop working and write 'Could not claim the USB device' error message in the logs.
I think that the message should be a warning only and any value set should therefore be ignored when the feature is not supported for a camera model.
