Cannot exceed 30s exposure with CANON EOS 300D using Ekos was created by Rémi Blondel

Hello all,

Everything is in the title. I can't exceed 30 seconds exposure with my DSLR using Ekos.
I saw in the FAQ that setting the BULB mode solved the problem, but I was already in BULB...

Do you think it is because the 300D is quite old ?

You may need a shutter controller such as the DSUSB (www.store.shoestringastronomy.com/products_ds.htm). Jasem has this controller working for us Nikon users.

I just looked at the supported cameras in Backyard EOS, and the 300D is not supported. You may be limited to the camera's preset exposures.

Yeah, I ordered a shutter release remote few days ago to automate my shootings. I think I will keep it until I get a better DSLR/CCD.
