Lodestar driver not connecting was created by Vincent Groenewold

So, something new every time. :) This time I can't get my Lodestar to connect, first I thought either my USB cable was bust or the guider itself, but I fired up Windows and that worked perfectly fine. So it seems I have another driver issue. Here I attached the log, it just waits to connect (yellow status icon) until I stop INDI.

I see escriban mentioning a crashing driver, seems like the sx driver is acting up at the moment.

Hi supernov,

I have the same problem, to solve it temporary if you really need to, you can try this..

sudo dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/libindi-data_1.6.3~201802171950~ubuntu16.04.1_all.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/libindi-dev_1.6.3~201802171950~ubuntu16.04.1_armhf.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/indi-sx_1.12~201802161333~ubuntu16.04.1_armhf.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/libindi1_1.6.3~201802171950~ubuntu16.04.1_armhf.deb

If it will work or not depends on what versions you have in the archive directory, maybe none or the same that I have, in that case just copy the command and you have your sx working, my LodestarX2 and SXVR-H9 works fine.

Thanks for the suggested workaround, I hit this last night.

Looking in /var/cache/apt/archives, I picked the version before the latest (since I assume it was the latest version that caused this due to an update). In my case the files were dated ~20180209xxxxxx~

Worked after installing the older versions.
