I have never had any problems with the camera untill two days ago. I have tried different versions of Kstars from 3.3.6 but it behaves just like you described it. It works with ASICAP though so theres is nothing wrong with the camera.

I use two ASI cameras (120MC-S and 1600MM-C) at the same time on KStars 3.3.9 and do not have any problems at all. Last time I tried was on Saturday night (5 days ago). I use a Minisforum mini-pc with USB3 ports.
I ran Kstars 3.3.8 on a WINDOWS 8.1 laptop and have the stellarmate RPi3 remotly connected by WiFi network. A day before I experienced this problem I had numerous shutdowns and restarts of Windows because of updates. What Windows do you run guys?
No Windows here either. The mini-pc runs Ubuntu MATE 18.04 (soon to be upgraded to 20.04) and I usually connect either from my iPad or from my MacBook using VNC.
I set up my other RPi but a 4b with the current beta. It worked from the scratch. Both cameras come up. What I didn’t could test is the colaboration with the mount and the focuser. The cross check was the RPI3 on my desk inside. No chance it doesn’t connect or the protocol didn’t realized the connection.
I would like to show a couple of pics, but do not know how to. Can I provide a Dropbox link in here? I just try, ok
Hi!
I have tested with an older Odroid and on that one my ASI1600MM connects without problems. On my newer Odroid it doesn't connect but the filter wheel which is connected through the camera works so it is definitely a driver issue.
