Hi,

I've got a problem with the QHY 5L-II on my Raspberry 2b and indiserver. Everytime I try to make an exposure via Ekos VM, the raspberry crashes completely an needs to be plugged off from power.

I installed everything as it is written in the tutorials. Latest Raspbian and indilib 1.1.0 is installed. Indiserver is started as root. gphoto for my canon dslr and eq-mount are working perfect.

dmesg output:
Warning: Spoiler!

indiserver output:
Warning: Spoiler!

Thanks for your response and sorry for my bad english.

I reported this issue to QHY hopefully they can investigate it further. But you don't need to run indiserver as root, what happens if you run it as a normal user?

Thank you,

Opening indiserver without root gives me an error:
2015-05-04T17:05:47: Driver indi_qhy_ccd: Open QHYCCD error
.
Any further logs you would like to be posted?

Thats everything I have about the USB. How can debug or live log the event, when I try to apparture with ekos the QHY5 Guider? As it's said, the Raspberry crashes immediately when I try to apparture with ekos and indiserver doesn't show any event.

1618:0921 is already in the udev file. Can you just check if it is there? It should be /lib/udev/rules.d/85-qhy.rules

yes, I've found only one entry in the 85-qhy.rules:
SUBSYSTEMS=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="1618", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0921", MODE="0666"

by the way, my whole 85-qhy.rules:

Warning: Spoiler!

anything, I still could do or check?

I just tried to connect the qhy5 not as guider but as ccd and got this error from indiserver when I clicked "preview" under the CCD Menu in Ekos.
Further the CPU load on the pi2 goes up to 100%

I can confirm I get the same error, will contact QHY. I already requested an updated library one month ago but didn't receive any reply thus far.

The QHY5L-II series is particularly sensitive to USB timing. Usually, the timing is too fast and a transfer will fail for this reason. Additionally, be careful of the USB cable and power situation. Use a powered hub and the supplied cable.

Best wishes,
Dan
