This is right. It looks like something changed in handling path for all the drivers so indiserver is not starting and reports the following:
# /usr/bin/indiserver -m 100 -l /var/log/indi -f /var/run/indi -p 7624 indi_eqmod_telescope
2016-04-19T18:32:58: startup: /usr/bin/indiserver -m 100 -l /var/log/indi -f /var/run/indi -p 7624 indi_eqmod_telescope
2016-04-19T18:32:58: Driver indi_eqmod_telescope is not found
2016-04-19T18:32:58: good bye
however the driver file exists in its regular location
I got it workin'
Apparetly a recent commit in indiserver introduced the issue (r2722 - Check if exec exists on system before trying to execute it - see sourceforge.net/p/indi/code/2722/tree//t...fc09e3abcee6903:2721)
After this change indiserver will start if you list drivers with full path i.e.
#/usr/bin/indiserver -m 100 -l /var/log/indi -f /var/run/indi -p 7624 /usr/bin/indi_eqmod_telescope
OR
by running all from /usr/bin/ directory i.e.
#cd /usr/bin
#indiserver -m 100 -l /var/log/indi -f /var/run/indi -p 7624 indi_eqmod_telescope
The bug was introduced in r2721 but fixed in r2722, please make sure you have the latest package installed. For 15.10, r2722 is not built yet, tomorrow morning.
Yes, indiserver starts normally. However the issue of client disconnecting when using Open/Save on CCD tab in Ekos persists. Client disconnects from server on the first click on directory selection or saving sequence. On the following clicks (after reconnecting) it works OK and does not disconnect from server. We can live with this, however it might be good idea to look into this in spare time.
Hi !
This behavior just came back... In Ekos, when I want to open/load/save in a folder, I get the following message: Connection to INDI host at localhost on port 7624 lost. Server disconnected.
The only way I found to avoid the problem: BEFORE running an EKOS session, go to configure Kstars, the INDI tab, click on a folder icon (INDI drivers directory for example), cancel. And then I can launch EKOS without any problem. But it's to do with every Kstars launch.
I'm on 64-bit Ubuntu Xenial, gnome-shell
