Unable to connect to indi on RPI.

I am using a the virtual machine build provided by the website and trying to connect to an RPI with Indi installed on it.
Every time I click "Start Indi" I get "Connection to INDI server at host 192.168.0.34 with port 7624 failed." I can ping back and forth from Kubuntu to the RPI.
Any ideas? It seems like the dependencies or the library may have not been installed correctly? I formatted it and installed it twice following the directions in the download sections. Is there something I missed? Thanks in advance.

You need to start the INDI server on RPI before you try to connect to it. You can do this either via SSH or via INDI Web Manager or INDI Starter

Is that just the command "indiserver -vv 'whatever driver'"
Edit: I also tried to use the web manager but I couldn't get that to connect either.
Edit2: Got it to connect, now just need to figure out how to connect to my SSAG and Celestron mount. Thanks!
