Currently I had to do a system reset and I installed the latest version of Ubuntu.
Maybe there are problems with the packages for ubuntu 23.04 (lunar)?
I can only install the stable version...

ok... I reinstalled ubuntu 22.04.
Now the file naming works perfectly again with the possibility of entering GAIN and OFFSET!!! Thank you! ;)
Is it possible to insert an option into ekos to set other camera parameters? For example High Fullwell mode, Low noise mode and Conversion Gain of the IMX571? (toupcam, omegon, QHY...)

Glad to hear that it works!

For other parameters, generally yes, if there is a benefit having them in the filename. Please be so kind and open a new thread regarding this in the wish list section of the forum.

What operating system do you use?
I reinstalled Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
With version 23.04 I had the same problem as you.

Are you planning to add a tag to wire the binning mode?

I've created a new MR!1033 that adds new placeholders:
  • binning
  • ISO
  • exposure time (pure value, no "_secs" extension)
Any other placeholders required?

Comments welcome

For the QHY268C users (and perhaps others) it would be nice to have "ReadMode"/"RM".

Juergen,
we take it into our backlog. Currently, it's not that easy since the readout mode is no EKOS parameter, it needs to be extracted from an INDI value.

Hi Wolfgang,
no problem and thank you for taking this in the backlog.

It would be also very nice to have the ReadMode in the EKOS tabs, since then one can set all the parameters for the camera in the EKOS tabs and has not the workaround with the INDI camera tab. But as you wrote it seems to be that this is not an EKOS parameter. So maybe also a point for long term.

Hi Juergen,
setting this parameter through EKOS is already possible (which I didn't know, frankly spoken). There is a button on the Capture tab for custom properties. There you could select the readout mode and store the current setting into an .esq file. As soon as this file is loaded, the appropriate camera property is set to the value you stored in the .esq file.
