Unable to connect camera to Ekos

Hi, I am beginner, approaching the world of astrophotography. I am trying to connect my Nikon Zfc to Ekos but without success. I am running it on a MacBook Pro with M1 chip and Mac OS Sonoma 14.3.
I followed the Ekos Profile Wizard --> Equipment attached to this device --> Internal INDI Server, and I set up a new profile with Camera: DSLRs-->GPhotoCCD. Once I start Ekos I keep getting the following error:

2024-02-10T22:31:53: [ERROR] Can not open camera: Power OK? If camera is auto-mounted as external disk storage, please unmount it and disable auto-mount.
2024-02-10T22:31:53: [ERROR] Camera open error (-53): Could not claim the USB device

I also tried with Nikon DSLRs instead of GPhotoCCD but still Ekos seems to not see the camera. I checked and the camera seems unmounted and there is no other program using it. I found several forum discussing similar problems but I couldn't find a solution working for me. Can anybody help me?

Thank you in advance
