INDI Library v2.0.6 is Released (02 Feb 2024)

Bi-monthly release with minor bug fixes and improvements

Seeking tips for imaging with schedule and sequences for EFW

I just tested it (under Simulation) and it appears to be working fine. If it complain altitude is too low, then there is a problem either in Ekos, or it is in fact too low for imaging. Ekos logs would help in this case.

Which logfile is Ekos?

I believe I have all logs being captured now and the time is noted so it can be retrieved if I did it right.

I do have logs :)

The whole log is attached. Please delete, or I can tomorrow.

This excerpt is an example of what was happening. I did not understand how to correct:

2017-04-16T01:54:48.595 - DEBG - Scheduler: Start
2017-04-16T01:54:48.702 - DEBG - Scheduler: "Astronomical twilight rise is at 01:48:00, set is at 16:15:00, and current time is 01:54:29"
2017-04-16T01:54:49.655 - DEBG - Scheduler: Checking Park Wait State...
2017-04-16T01:54:49.669 - DEBG - Scheduler: "M 63 observation job is estimated to take 05h 25m 40s to complete."
2017-04-16T01:54:49.672 - DEBG - Scheduler: "Dark sky score is -1000 for time Sun Apr 16 01:54:30 2017 GMT-0300"
2017-04-16T01:54:49.676 - DEBG - Scheduler: "M 63 Moon score 1 (separation 82.6948)."
2017-04-16T01:54:49.680 - DEBG - Scheduler: "M 63 is scheduled to start at Sun Apr 16 16:15:00 2017 GMT-0300 where its altitude is 18.1 degrees."
2017-04-16T01:54:49.683 - DEBG - Scheduler: "Scheduler is going into sleep mode..."

I was expecting the scheduler to just start immediately like it normally would.

From above, you are starting at 01:54:29 AM while twilight rise is 01:48:00 AM so Ekos only runs the job under twilight darkness period IF Twilight checkbox is checked under Constraints. Unchecked it for your job (make sure you are editing the job when you uncheck it) and the job can start at anytime.
