Kstars catalog file location

Kstars catalog file location was created by Ken Self

Is it possible to configure where Kstars keeps the catalog files that are installed through the Hot New Stuff dialogue? I was hoping to share them between my Ubuntu VM and Windows. Alternatively, how can I tell Kstars that the USNO NOMAD catalog has been installed if I copy the file from one installation to another one?

You can't change the catalog path. For USNO NOMAD, just copy it to ~/.local/share/kstars or to your APPDATA/Local/kstars in Windows and KStars will load it up (assuming you already installed Tycho2).

Thanks Jasem. I was hoping that would be the case. It was just that on the HotNewStuff dialog the Install button was showing so I wasn't sure if Kstars had picked it up.
