Hi

Some of us here would like to use polar assistant, but their configuration (4/3 DSLR + C11) is resulting in too small FOV
Thus, here is the question :
Is it really mandatory to have such a wide FOV ?
What do we loose ? Precision ?
Or is it just because the risk is to not have real north and the mount north on one frame ?

Gilles.

The field of view is required because the Astrometry solver has a difficult time solving very small FOVs. You may be able to get around this by using your guide scope, which is already recommended because of how slow downloading from a DSLR is.
