How should Watchdog work

This morning I noticed the telescope didn't park and hit a leg of the mount. No issue, but it was caused by a crash of Kstars (I unfortunately had logs disabled tonight), INDI was still running fine on the Raspberry and the IP address to my computer inside was correct. I was under the impression that if KStars didn't respond it would issue a park command? Or is it only for a complete PC crash?

It would take action if no response is received from client.

Yes, so does that mean a crashed kstars still responds on that port? As in, Kubuntu itself responds? If so, it would be nice if it would also park on a crash.

If KStars crashed, then the watchdog should take action (if the timer was set). Are you sure the timer was set? You had other clients connected to the server?

Should be, or is that a manual setting, I saved configuration on it so it activated automatically. Didn't recheck if the timer was active, I thought that was handled automatically.

edit: So I double checked and WatchDog's timer should've been active.
