Ok, the changes are already in GIT if you want to test that on Linux and can build KStars yourself. Otherwise, wait for the next KStars release.

Very nice. Thank you for the hard work on all of this! When I get ekos running as I suspect it will enable me to spend even more time with my wife. Dinner and drink night is way more fun than hacking away at my rig for hours on end. My first sequences are coming to completion - very exciting. What will we see?

Oh, and I'm happy to build it myself. Is there a page that overviews the details? I'll get right on it.

Thanks for that. I have it built but I did not run make install so as to not have an untracked package on the system. I'm running it out of the build directory, which may not be a realistic test. So far I see no change in behavior on the Capture & Slew part. It still syncs and doesn't center.

Two questions:

1) Do I need to fully install it to test the update?
2) Do I need to build indi as well? I'm using the latest from the ppa as of today.

No & No. In Align Module, you need to enable differential slewing. See below:

Oops! I can't believe I missed that!

It works! It handles different rotator positions as well. Thank you!

Looks like I still have edit access. I can make some updates if needed provided you don't mind.

OK, I made a few updates. Looks like you already covered most of it.

One thing that would be helpful is to grab another image from the camera after the differential slew to show where the mount ended up. This will help the user see how the slew worked. Maybe even plate solve it and throw a point on the bullseye target to show where the mount started, and where it ended up relative to the position that was asked for. Make sense?
