I just switched cameras from a 16MP to 24MP camera because the 16MP camera is being modified. However, in the capture module it keeps showing the 16MP frame size even though its been updated in the control panel.

Pentax K-5II (16MP)
Pentax K-3II (24MP)
MacOS 10.13.3
Kstars 2.9.3

You have to remove the user database where that old data is stored.
First make a backup of this file if you need it and then issue:

sudo rm ~/Library/Application Support/kstars/userdb.sqlite

You will then see the popup to configure the new size.

Deleting that file will remove all your preferences and settings so I'd advice against that. However, when you start INDI you get a popup called the INDI Control Panel. Open the tab for your camera and look at the Image Settings tab. There you can modify the number of pixels and the pixel size. Make sure to save the new values under the General Info tab of your camera and you should be set.

Well, I tried that, I switched from different cameras and this was the only way to resolve the problem.

Even changing the values on INDI control panel and saving, didn't prevent the capture module from using old values.
That was the only way it worked, maybe I catched a bug and it works now.

Please try wvreeven solution first before deleting the file. I would like to know if it works for you.

Yes, I’ve done as you say but the new settings don’t show up in the capture pane.

The camera name is the same I presume? Maybe I should treat Pentax the same as Canon i.e. the name of the camera changes with the model.

EDIT: Ok Pentax added so that the camera name includes the model. You can test this from the Nightly unstable PPA or you can wait until next stable release of INDI in a couple of weeks.
