Anyone can roughly explain how this new guiding algorithm perform?

It's experimental, try it out and if most users report that it is better for them, we'll set it as default.

SEP is a library that is based on sextractor, so it's a different method for determining sources within an image.

I am testing it right now and it seems to be as good as the smart algorithm though the guide star gets drawn inside the square better. Still, I get an overall RMS of 0.6" which is great! And coming back to your comment indilib.org/forum/general/3251-guding-go....html?start=12#25437 in the Guiding Gone Wild topic, I am doing this on the RPi3 running Ubuntu Mate and the latest KStars stable build directly via pulse guiding on the EQMod cable so no ST4 guiding. Great!
