I'm testing the new installed, and I'm glad to see that the 'Download New Data' works well. No issues on that part.
by the way, this is done on my non-dev laptop.
Ok I will revise the instructions, apparently this command worked better. I don't know honestly why one worked and the other didn't. But since this is the one on brew's website, I will go with it!
Shall we not have in the "KStars for Mac Quick Start Guide" pdf file a section explaining that you need to setup the Indi and Ekos/Astrometry settings set to *internal solver* ?
Rob and Jamie, do you think it's time to ask Jasem to get our DMG up in indilib.org/download/osx.html ?
Or do we need a little bit more testing/updates/time ?
Jasem has been asking this question quite a bit, most recently this morning. . . . not yet.
Please test it thoroughly so that we can work the bugs out. Like when you clicked the ok button when you should have clicked the next button and it crashed. I should disable the ok button.
The tutorial could be a modification or even a link to the readme info on the OS X gist that Jamie setup. I think it is very necessary and we should revise that document. I also just recently made a document explaining how to get started in Qt creator using the cmake version to edit kstars on OS X.
Would you like to work on that? It sounds like a great idea.
By the way I just pushed my changes to Jamie's script to a new branch and will do a pull request shortly.
Let me work on that, I will take some screenshots for each steps and add steps to the pdf file. Are you able please to send by email the original document you've used to create the pdf?
MUST not post too quickly before reading .....lol... I shall download it.
