Hi guys
Configured a new tower pc for the obs with Kubuntu 14.10 64bit and installed Kstarsinto the obs today and had a couple of Ekos configure problems, The lodestar ccd works fine using the sx driver.
I`ve installed the latest Atik indi driver but its still not available as an option with my Atik 314l+ plugged in -
in a console typing 'lsusb' gives
steve@steve-desktop:~$

also I seem unable to connect my NEQ6 mount, clicking on connect gives -
2015-01-09T16:22:59: Error: -> Error connecting to port /dev/ttyUSB0: Port failure Error: Permission denied.
Try adding your user to the dialout group and restart (sudo adduser $USER dialout)
2015-01-09T16:22:59: connecting to port /dev/ttyUSB0
I`ve entered sudo adduser $USERsteve dialout but still unable to connect.
I suspect it might be an EQmod problem for both Atik and NEQ6 (eqmod) selections as I seem to remember looking for an Eqmod file for Ekos with my last pc
Everything seems to work fine under Windows ruling out any hardware probs, what could I try next please?
cheers
Steve
Oops
Noticed I haven`t installed indi_eqmod which I gather is a third party file and not included with Kstars which I think should make a difference
Steve
Hi folks
Installed indi_eqmod and my NEQ6 works fine now but still can`t see the Atik driver to choose it. I`ve installed it 4 four times up to now and seems to install ok but not available as a ccd option? I`m choosing this driver atikccd-0.20-amd64.deb from the www.cloudmakers.eu/indi web site and just using the standard Kubuntu package installer, I`ve run atik_ccd_test and it showed the Atik test ok! what could I try next please?
thanks
Steve

I can confirm this and know the reason, the package install the indi_atik.xml file to the wrong location. It install it to /usr/local/share/indi where it should be /usr/share/indi. I think Peter will probably fix this very soon.
