Hi there

Is it possible to somehow remap the keyboard arrow keys to use them like a joystick respectively moving the mount (linux)?

Can I use a gamepad for mount controling? Are gamepads the same devices in linux as joysticks?

Yeah, just get an XBox or Playstation or any Linux compatible joystick/gamepad and you should be good to go.
