After a long time without clear skies and many updates of kstars and friends my guiding seems a bit strange..
I'm not shure when things changed, take a look here.. :
kstars/INDI/Ekos all up to date from ppa, Celestron 80mm guidescope with SX Lodestar X2 bought this summer but there was no problems for about a 1-1,5 months ago.
I can't reproduce it in simulation, but I will test it in the observatory tonight. Btw, I don't use "Autostretch" nor "subframe" and I was guiding on the lodestar for more than 6 hours yesterday.
I guess the simulator works fine but haven't tried that yet..
First I thought that upgrading to Ubuntu 15.10 messed up something so I made a fresh install but no change in behaivior.
If I do a very long guiding, more than 600-800 seconds the green box with guidestar will go below the lower edge and dissapear.
Most time I have to use Autostretch just to find a star but I can make a test without Autostretch next time the sky clears up hopefully this evening..
Seems that the weather will be too windy tonight
I was looking at guidecam parameters in the INDIpanel, it says Lodestar is 752x580 pxels wich is correct with the CCD but pixelsize does not agree with INDI, according to Sony pixels is 8,2µm x 8,4µm and INDI says they are 8,6µm x 8,3µm wich makes small difference, could that affect that the guidestar seems to be at wrong place when selected ??
