Bi-monthly release with minor bug fixes and improvements

KStars 2.7.0 is released

We released 2.7.0 today for Linux & Windows. You can find the full announcement and changes here:

You can get the updated version as usual from the PPA. For Windows, you can download it from KStars Website

Some users reported problem with crash on connect. It appears that libindi1 was not upgraded as well, so run this command:
sudo apt-get -y dist-upgrade

That looks awesome! Gonna give that a go asap, as well as the osx version (native support is superb). Loads of work but immensely appreciated Jasem!

Very very very thanks @knro and all developers.
Kstars + Ekos + Indi is best best program for linux i have in pc.
In this moment when write my Celestron C8 photographing M31 with Canon 500D in autoguide off-axis with Meade DSI ..and all important work is ok ( little problem found write tomorrow ) :)

Very, very good job.
The improvement of the fits viewer is very impressive.
Many thanks for this new version. I hope the windows version will pull some more fans of kstars. :) .
This is an excellent improvement of the user interface.
Just a little comment, The tab icons of Ekos are still a little bit too big. Same size as the ones of the kstars toolbar would be nice.
Is there any way to reduce their size ?
Like that we can gain some more space :) .

Yes reduced size of tab icons of Ekos would be better.

A huge thanks to Jasem and all of the Ekos ecosystem dev team for this massive upgrade. I have not had a chance to try it out yet, but I've watched the YouTube videos and as a software dev myself can appreciate the massive workload that must have gone into thus release.

Well done to all on this wonderful software and I am really looking forward to running it out in the field.
