Hi,

I tried to run CCD guider simulator but got the above message. I read an older threat concerning the same problem.
The adress for downloading gsc catalog was given in this thread as

launchpad.net/~mutlaqja/+archive/ubuntu/.../gsc_1.0.orig.tar.gz

However this adress is not valid any more. So my question, where can I find the gsc catalog?

Looks like they changed compression. This is the file: launchpad.net/~mutlaqja/+archive/ubuntu/...ubuntu16.04.1.tar.xz

However, if you're using Ubuntu, just run this:
sudo apt-get install gsc
