every time I turn around there is something new on my Samsung galaxy note 2. For instance, apps that report many shopping and browsing habits, and bundled crap that gets "updated" to something that is worse. Why would I need the indi service manager on my phone and how did it get there? I have no astronomical tools.
I did some tests with Android and the INDI for Java library. It was working fine and I did control some CCDs and mounts. However as I'm not an Android expert (I even don't have and Android device!) I left this issue for a future time. But just today I have spoken with one of my computer science students and he is willing to do some library and App for Android to control INDI devices. So probably you'll see some advances int this matter in the future.
Best regards

However, I got so fed up with Apple, iPad, iPhone and the stupid licenses and Apple store that I never really tried toupload it to the Apple store. Moreover, you have to have a developer license (not free) to submit it to the Store. Eve if your app is completely free.
However, if someone is willing to put it on the Store I think many people could benefit. By the way, if someone wants the code I developed, just ask.
