Last night I downloaded Registax6 and discovered that it did not recognize the ColorId of 100 that the V4L2 INDI driver writes when I capture color. Monochrome is recognized. At this point in my learning curve I do not know if this is the responsibility of the INDI driver or if this is what is coming from the Linux driver for my laptop's webcam. I would be happy to dive into those 1300 lines of code to try to figure it out. In addition there are some other issues that I would like to address like the name of the SER file has invalid characters according to Registax6 (the "colon" used in the timestamp). Also there is another issue that took me a while to figure out a work-around.

I don't know if I can put in the impressive number of hours into it like you. Would it be a help or a hindrance if I forked your repo?

I just fixed the SER filename issue by replacing ":" with "-". I don't know why Windows cannot read colons but it's a limitation we have to live with. And yes go ahead and fork, there are many forks already.
