I wished to share this in case it can help other RPI3 users...

I had some trouble with plate solving on the RPI3 the other night. Similar it can take some time, 1-2minutes, to solve at times. The issue the other night was that the images would not solve at all when trying to image NGC 7293. Per another post, the images that would not solve were saved to test them later and see if something could be done to solve them.

Well, I am very glad I did this, as it let me tweak some new settings. I learned that two things made solving happen in seconds downsample (--downsample 2) and radius (-5 30).

The setup being used is a C11" at f10 using an ASI1600mm-cooled, so it is worth saving your own images to see what can work for you.

Downsampling to 4, and setting radius to 3 made a huge difference. Using a radius of 1 or 2 did not improve things in this case:
