KStars/GPS time confusion

KStars/GPS time confusion was created by DAVID J EISENLORD

I have GPS Nmea configured in Indi and picking up time/location from the GPS2IP app on my iphone. The time from the GPS is UTC -5 which is correct for Minnesota central daylight savings time. The time in KStars is UTC -4, which seems extra strange, as UTC -6 is normal central standard time. In the Kstars Indi preference panel I have it configured that GPS & mount update kstars, both time and location. In this case using telescope simulator and its picked up UTC -5 correctly.

Thanks for the detailed report! This issue was reported at least half a dozen times but I was never able to track it down ... until today! It's now fixed in GIT and should be in the KStars 2.9.5 release... which should be out as soon as the Mac build is ready.
