EOS 6D wrong exposure times

The error with the mirrorlockup has gone thanks to the last commit. But now, i have another problem with the 6D:

Exposure-times longer than 1s result in pictures with exposure-times set in the camera. Exposure-settings in EKOS are ignored.
Exposure-times 1s and lower work as expected

Camera is set to M-Mode.

DO you have Bulb mode? I set the dial to M, then select Bulb inside. Not sure about other cameras.

The 6D has a seperate position on the dial for bulb. But with bulb, exposures equal or less than 1s are wrong, all longer than1s is correct. It´s a bit complicated.

BTW: Mars from this morning. The first try with kstars/EKOs on openSUSE Tumbleweed. I used kstars/EKOS to go to the planet (astromety.net offline did a nice job). Than I pulled the usb-cable out of the camera and recorded a video (Magic Lantern MLV), which I stacked.

Replied by Alfred on topic EOS 6D wrong exposure times

You have to choose M for exposures of up to 30s (or maybe 1s in your case) and BULB for exposures of >30s (>1s). The former assumes you can do exposures of up to 30s in manual mode as it is the case with the 5D Mk2.

Yeah, I wrote that threat. But my 6D has another limit:
1s and below: M-Mode is correct. Bulb mode show wrong exposure times
More than 1s: Bulb mode is correct. M mode show exposure times, which are set in the DSLR
EKOS with the 6D make not so much fun atm.

You can try the Photo driver instead of the Canon DSLR, some people think it works better.

I had problems with both drivers and at some point of time gave up with my 7D as I had too many problems and had to reboot the camera too often. I switched to an ASI cam now.

Just to clear any confusion. Canon driver _is_ the GPhoto driver. The only difference is that Canon driver can run multiple cameras simultaneously. That's it.

Thanks for the clarification Jasem, that explains why both seem to have the same problems with my cam.
