Everyone in the development team

Thank you for always having a wonderful support.

I got NanoPi M4 and installed Kstar & Ekos.

(The system used rk3399 - sd - friendlydesktop - bionic - 4.4 - arm 64 - 20180905.img.)

There were two parts that could not be optimized for ARM 64 (RK 3399).

1. The resolution on the screen of Kstar & Ekos is low

I use it with the monitor setting of 1680 x 1050, but the window of the application gets bigger and it sticks out.

Please check the attached image.

2. Language change is not possible.
Until now, changing the language setting of the system, installing Kde-l10 could change the application language of the application, but only English is displayed.
Because other languages are switched, I feel that it is a bug in Kstar & Ekos on ARM 64 (RK 3399).

Please confirm when updating.

Try with this:
sudo apt-get install language-pack-kde-ja

The GUI looks pretty weird as well and proportions are wrong. Maybe the Desktop Environment is at fault here? Just taking a guess.

Mr. Jasem

I am always grateful for your help.
The one you instructed is already installed.

The ZWO driver seems to have problems as well.

By the way, because other applications such as PHD 2 have no problem, seems to be a trouble unique to Kstars & Ekos.

When removing the HDMI monitor and displaying it with the HDMI dongle, the resolution problem was solved.

Language environment is fixed problem.
It does not solve the problem of the ZWO driver crashing.

By the way, although this system seems to be based on Ubuntu 18.04, the desktop environment uses LXDE, and the configuration files of monitors and language environment
It was in /home/pi/.config/.

monitor
/home/pi/.config/autostart/lxrandr-autostart.desktop

language
/home/pi/.config/user-dirs.locale

The Kstars configuration file was also in the same place.

/home/pi/.config/kstarsrc
/home/pi/.config/klanguageoverridesry

We also changed this file, but the language has not switched.

on the ZWO ASI120 - were you saying the cam works with PHD2, but not for KStars/Ekos?

otherwise, if it is also not working with PHD2, I would put my order on hold.

thanks a lot, Helge

I have the NanoPC-T4 which is also an ARM 64 (RK 3399) running Lubuntu-desktop-xenial (16.04)
The Friendly eflasher version of Lubuntu had several bugs and missing parts in it that it was not usable, until I downloaded the fixes.
Now it runs great, and I have no trouble with the monitors. I did, however, finally decided to add a headless HDMI dongle and that works ever better.
I also noticed there is a lot of differences between VNC clients, and "Chicken on the VNC" was the best and fastest client for Mac.

Is your Lubuntu a 32-bit version of distributed with FrendlyElec?

If this is an ASI120MM or MC camera, meaning the USB2 version, then you need to apply a firmware patch to make it work on Linux. And then it will only work in 8 bit mode. Please search this forum for a solution as it has been discussed many times before.
I have an ASI120MC-S (i.e. USB3 version) and it works flawlessly on Linux.

Firmware patch has already been applied.

It works on RPi 3 (ARM 32 Bit, Ubuntu MATE), Orengi Pi (ARM 32 Bit, Armbian), Beelink AP 34 (INTEL 64 Bit, Ubuntu 16.04), but it does not seem to work with the driver for ARM 64.
(Does it work on 64 bit system for ARM 64?)

Hmm I used to have an ASI120MC (USB2) as well and flashed the firmware. I never could get it to work on my Debian Linux 64 bit laptop either but then I never tried 8 bit video. Not sure if that's related or not.
