No, I didn't measure it but the download time was +/- the same as with MacBook Pro.

Raspberry Pi 2 www.raspberrypi.org/raspberry-pi-2-on-sale/
Let’s get the good stuff out of the way above the fold. Raspberry Pi 2 is now on sale for $35 (the same price as the existing Model B+), featuring:

A 900MHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU (~6x performance)
1GB LPDDR2 SDRAM (2x memory)
Complete compatibility with Raspberry Pi 1

Because it has an ARMv7 processor, it can run the full range of ARM GNU/Linux distributions, including Snappy Ubuntu Core, as well as Microsoft Windows 10.
You can try my open project Astronomy Linux

Only runs of the microSD card, I have to say that that eMMC for the Odroid is fast.
You could compare it as going from a standard hard drive to an SSD drive....

For those interested, the Piface (new one) board works nicely on the Odroid-C1. You can control everything on it from the gpio.
What doesn't not work yet is the pifacedigital python3 modules.

I'm glad this topic is up. I haven't bought either and wanted the Odroid because it has gigabit ethernet I've read comments that it's i/o is faster than a 'pi even the new one.

:( Only problem is that I was thinking of using 500mb/sec ethernet over powerline and the gigabit line will probably negotiate 100mb/sec with it.

I'm even running my Piface digital board on the odroid-c1.
It works via the GPIO commands, the python modules don't seem to work correctly (not idea why yet).

Well I can tell you that I am now moving away from the Raspi to the Odroid-C1 as the main control box.
I have the follow relay board yourduino.com/sunshop2/index.php?l=product_detail&p=156 which replaces my Piface digital Raspi add-on board.

I still have to use the Raspi model A for my al night camera which is already setup.

When I started reading these posts I thought great I could use an Odroid. Now I wonder.

What I want to do is run kstars etc on a pc and the INDI library, dslr, focus and guiding on the Odroid sited locally on the scope very probably via an ethernet cable as I feel I will have problems with wifi. I'm inclined to look at adding more power to it's usb ports if needed rather than using a separate hub. i would want to do that on the new 'pi as well.

Can some one enlighten me - will work ok or not ? It sounds like it will early on apart from wifi.
