I'm after a controller with the following requirements and just wondering if such thing exists:
_Raspberry PI or Arduino based.
_autoguide port
_able to control such motors:
close loop steppers (that's a normal stepper Nema motor + encoders). or
servo motors with encoders.
(the encoders are important)
and indi driven of course.
I do know that the Sidereal Technology - Servo Controller II (commercial product) covers all the above (and will soon have an indi driver) but the cost on the controller is $895
Let me know if you are aware of such controller, I've scoured the interweb but wasn't successful in finding one.
hi!
the next months will see a release of TSC, I am still working on the PCBs and i need some further testing of the autoguider function - github.com/selste/TwoStepperControl/wiki - the wiki will be updated in the next days ...
stepper motor encoders are not yet supported, but it is no problem to add them. why do you need them? I drive a 350 kg telescope without encoders and GOTO works fine. TSC includes INDI for gudiecam-acquisition. control takes place via LX200. functionality includes:
- Internal editable catalogs and LX 200 support for kStars, CdC, stellarium and SkySafari
- Internal WLAN (opens it's own hotspot if no router is within reach)
- LX200 via USB and WLAN
- ST4
- INDI interface to guidecameras and autoguiding
- DSLR control and dithering
- realtime clock
- support for two additional focuser drives
- Bluetooth handbox

Thanks for replying, I shall read about all the TSC features next week while on holidays.
I would like to run servo (with encoders) or closed loop stepper, this is for my future project.
