INDI Library v2.0.7 is Released (01 Apr 2024)

Bi-monthly release with minor bug fixes and improvements

iOptron SmartEQ pro-Error setting local date/UTC Offset.

I'm writing a new driver for firmware version 20170101 or higher, including CEM120. So update your firmware to this or later and use the new driver once released.
Also, I really need the documentation part.

No not that. iOptron already sent me the command set documentation. I need the USER documentation like this: indilib.org/devices/telescopes/eqmod.html

There is now user documentation for IOptron but it is just stubs, it really need to be on the level of EQMod documentation. This is iOptron pages: indilib.org/devices/telescopes/ioptron.html

Who ever can edit those let me know and I'll grant you edit privileges. Please follow the same documentation template as EQMod.

Sorry, Jasem, I am not exactly certain what you want us/me to do. Provide screenshots for the iOptron SmartEQPro+ (that's the iOptron mount I have) when using the CEM60 driver and edit the EQMod page on indilib accordingly?
I would be happy to do this, but it will probably have to be next weekend.

Do not edit EQMod page, but edit the iOptron CEM60 Page here: indilib.org/devices/telescopes/ioptron/ieq45.html

The EQMod page is to serve as a guideline, i.e. how to write the documentation.

CEM120/iOptronV3 driver is now ready for testing in GIT (or nightly PPA if you wait for tomorrow build). Please test it and let me know how it goes.

CEM120 documentation: indilib.org/devices/telescopes/ioptron/cem120.html

I also updated iOptron category to indicate which drivers should be used: indilib.org/devices/telescopes/ioptron

Wow that was fast! I just wish I had a CEM120 to test with :-)
I noticed in the docs it says.....
'The mount must be aligned first before establishing connection with INDI.'
Is this just for the first time the mount is used with INDI? Or does it need human intervention every time the mount is powered on? I'm asking because I'm considering getting a CEM120 and the observatory is remote (I'm not there to perform the initial alignment).
Thanks,
Derek

This statement is applicable to ALL mounts except for EQMod. But once it is aligned and then parked/unparked, then the information is not lost. This is my assumption anyway since this is how other mounts behave on parking.
