I will try that maybe tonight yes, it must be some setting that differs between the two, SGP has a optimization workflow for getting it right with all kinds of calculations to optimize step-size etc. Maybe that also helps.
So I'm trying a couple of other things and found that manually selecting a fairly small star works much better. Can I make Ekos not select the big stars? When I centered on Dubne it actually started focusing on it, being way too bright I'm not sure that was the best choice.
You can always select the stars manually, but Ekos automatically selects the largest star in the frame. I suggest use 1x1 binning as well since it doesn't cause large stars to saturate as much.
