I occasionally do solar imaging and the 2017 eclipse is approaching. One of the challenges with tracking the sun during the day is that achieving good polar alignment is not possible unless set up the night before and not moved. A way around that is to use autoguiding to compensate for moderate polar alignment error. With an inverted image effect it is possible to guide on sunspots. Obvious disclaimer is appropriate filters must be used for this aswell.
