I found the problem... I can't read ! I missed this message

2017-08-29T17:58:33 World Coordinate System (WCS) is enabled. CCD rotation must be set either manually in the CCD driver or by solving an image before proceeding to capture any further images, otherwise the WCS information may be invalid.

Once I plate solved an image and tried again it worked.

Thanks kbahey! I must have something configured incorrectly then because my MacBook Pro should be fast enough. I’ll keep tinkering.

I tried to use the polar alignment tool with the mount and ccd simulator, on both OS X and RPi and it keeps getting stuck:

Was the fix for this issue rolled out yet?

I am using kstars/ekos with a QHY5L-II as an allsky camera and I have the same issue. I would also like to have the minimum exposure time changed to 20 us if possible.

I was able to get everything sorted with Ekos and my QHY5L-II and doing something unrelated I screwed up my install. I tried to reinstall on a fresh Ubuntu Mate and I hit the following error:
~$ sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mutlaqja/ppa
~$ sudo apt-get update
~$ sudo apt-get -y dist-upgrade
~$ sudo apt-get install indi-full

indi-full : Depends: indi-gphoto but it is not going to be installed

I then tried to install indi-gphoto:
~$ sudo apt-get install indi-gphoto
[sudo] password for dsidote:

Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong?

Thanks.

David Sidote replied to the topic 'QHY5L-II Mono maximum exposure' in the forum. 7 years ago

It turns out that exposures that are multiples of 10 cause the download to hang. I tried exposures of 19, 21, 25, 29, 31, 299 seconds and all downloaded fine. When I tried exposures of 20, 30, 50, 300 seconds it hung and I had to kill the indi_qhy process.

I am running Kstars/Ekos on a RPi3 with a QHY5L-II M as an all-sky camera. It works great except I can't take exposures longer than 19 seconds without the download hanging. If I try to take a 20 second exposure in either preview or as a series in the sequence queue, the exposure timer counts down and then nothing happens. The image doesn't download and the camera becomes unresponsive requiring a restart of the indi_qhy process.

Does the INDI QHY driver have a maximum exposure for this camera or do I have something set incorrectly?

Thanks!
