Just short update about issue. Manage to run mount and main camera (EOS) without crash issues. Last night saved as I did build from source earlier as you helped me. Today done "normal" Ubuntu version install/update (to sudo apt-get install indi-full kstars-bleeding) and looks like that also live and well without crash.

BUT: Got new issue as a gift that my QHY5 does not want to connect to system. Camera is good. Power on. Driver (indi_qhy-ccd) up and running but there is no way to see camera from EKOS. Even trying to request BLOBs (like EQ6.*.*. or and " *.*.* " ) command line fails (answer is nothing)for QHY but same time seeing wanted respond from mount and other camera.

It looks exact same kind of issue (earlier last year end?) when to user it looks like perfect hardware failure and connection problem. But it was coming from software and later fixed by some indi driver update (or who ever is actual doing QHY part of INDI driver). So it looks like its more commmon for QHY product issue and just have to wait again....was it something to do with USB port details.... This QHY now >4 years old so i have good feeling when actual camera or USB hardware connection fails.

So its like 80% good :) ! Main thing anyway manage to use mount and main camera last night and got nice pictures B) targets i wanted.

Thanks!!!

hmmmm..... done Ubuntu update few minutes ago. Using -Main Server- source as always. Now it first did look like gphoto_ccd stays alive BUT after trying to connect to EqMount it gave me new crash/error. Anyone??

Great forum anyway !! - up to date and almost always find answer from here.

Only issue is that we have tonight now almost no clouds and like -20 degreeC. So this kind of trial/error during evening/night time when you could actual use your camera is..... :)

Hello! Anyone else notice 'Driver indi_gphoto_ccd' CRASH with CANON DSLR after yesterday/latest update to system (kstars/indi). I can see this. Also able to reproduce every time now. It is just enough to:
1) open/set EKOS profile with mount and CCD as CANON DSLR with LOCAL MODE.
2) Then start local INDI (Start INDI)
3) And it will crash everytime without any further user actions (like trying to connect/disconnect).

No matter if trying local PC without any real life cameras or doing same with observatory PC with actual mount and CCD. Also same if you just without EKOS open DEVICE MANAGER and try to start CANON DSLR LOCAL Device. All other CCD like CCD simulator working as far i can see.

Just to note that this both systems were up and running last two days without any issues connecting and re-connecting both software stuff and actual devices. Also done earlier daily update to Ubuntu / Indi with standard update/upgrade (sudo apt-get update) without issues.
(Ubuntu 16.04 LTS with original installed sudo apt-get install indi-full kstars-bleeding, Observation hardware: EQ mount + Canon 600D and Canon 60DA, guider:QHY5)

Happy to give more information for analyze if needed and Sorry if this was already reported in!

Thanks!!

BR
Antti
