I decided the same way :) 3D printer purchased and on the go.

"I am sorry for my English" :(

One question:

What causes drops of moisture on IR sensors?

I found this Czech project and have an IR sensor covered with HDPE dome.
Has heating to eliminate moisture.

Perfect !

When to publish an article?

Now I build a weather station and the original HOWTO is a lot of bugs.

I have the components connected and the test program says wrong connection. I tested each component separately and the components are well connected. I had to modify the test program and it really works! I have data from the components.

I froze at the server and I do not know how to continue :-(

I'll wait for the new HOWTO ;-)

Thanks gentlemen for your work and I'm waiting. :-)
