Greetings....When i am guiding within the Ekos guide module,,no matter how many seconds i start the exposure count down at,,the exposure time countdown starts,,and then drops to 10 seconds and finishes counting down.Calibration finishes ok before hand. When i am not guiding,,this does not happen.Without guiding,,i can expose an image for 60 seconds without star streak. As an example,,while guiding within the Ekos guide module,,i would set the exposure time to 120 seconds. The countdown would start and when it reached 110 seconds it would drop to 10 seconds and finish counting down from there. Not sure whats happening.I have been experimenting with the info from this page( indilib.org/about/ekos/guide-module.html ).I keep Kstars updated daily.I have attached logs from last night. Thanks for any info you may be able to provide.I will continue to explore this on my next clear night....Thank you....

This i resolved by purging Kstars bleeding, and then reinstalling Kstars bleeding....It just started working perfectly after that....
Thanks....

Hi,
I have not tried under windows....I only have Linux installed....
I am starting to think it could be something with the Autostar #497 hand controller setup....
The second port on the bottom of the #497 handbox is the one i am plugged into....
I used to guide the scope in Windows xp....
Do you suppose i would benefit by reinstalling kstars bleeding?
Thanks....

Greetings....
I am having failures connecting to my Meade LX90 so i may autoguide....
If i understand the documentation right,i should be able to image and autoguide internally using the same "ASI 1600MC-Cool"....(I was successful connecting and imaging with my ASI 1600MC)I am fairly certain i have everything hooked up correctly(Imager cable to laptop)(RS232-to-USB cable from my LX90 #497 ETX Autostar controller to my laptop USB port)....I am not sure how the imager communicates with the telescope for autoguiding?....Does the imager see the star drifting and relay this info to indi and indi relays this to the mount to correct it?....

This failure happens with all the LX90 and LX200 driver versions....
Here is the basic failure from the log....

I have studied the forums and have not been able to fix the issue which appears to be "Telescope is not responding to ACK"
I installed "Kstars bleeding edge" from your PPA,and it updates daily....

Hi Jasem,
Kstars was getting this error and crashing with my DSI PRO....
"error-2017-09-11T23:38:25: Unable to find DSI. Has the firmware been loaded? "
This was happening when i would go "Kstars" - "Tools" - "Devices" - "Device Manager" to connect to my DSI PRO....
I finally realized i need to connect in a particular way, and then things were good....
I got it to work this way:
Unplug the DSI .
Plug in the DSI.
Started Kstars.
Tools-then Ekos.
Profiles-(select)My DSI PRO.
Start Indi(it connects and finds my DSI).
Go to"Focuser"tab.
Under CCD it now has "Meade Deep Sky Imager".
Click "Framing" and i now get short exposures going so i may focus.
Focus and then go to "CCD" tab.
Click"Preview" and now i get a "Fits" image.

This weekend i will give it a solid try....
Thanks....

Greetings,
Is there a specific tutorial for capturing from a DSI PRO 2 in Ekos on Ubuntu 16.04?....
I have the drivers and Kstars bleeding installed....
I could get an image working the other night in the focuser in Ekos....
From there i was not really able to figure out the steps to make things happen....
Thanks for any info....

Hi,
Thanks for a great project....
I have 2 Meade DSI's, and a Meade LX-90 scope i am trying to migrate to your INDI software, from my old Meade software....
I have an HP Envy laptop with the following specs....

Ubuntu 16.04.
12 Gig memory.
Intel core i7-4720HQ CPU @2.60 GHz x8.
Intel Haswell mobile.
64 Bit.
1 Tb hard drive.

I have not been able to install the software without having errors....
It appears that i am simply not able to install the "libindi1" package....
I tried installing it 2 ways....

If i run this,
"sudo apt-get install indi-full"
I get this

tim@tim-HP-ENVY:~$ sudo apt-get install indi-full

indi-full is already the newest version (1.3~201702261148~ubuntu16.04.1).
