Qhy5 is noisy and there is no shutter. I have to write some python code to remove some fake stars in the sky
Let's say this is a first version of the allsky. The plan at the beginning was to draw and 3d print the enclosure . Not enough time to complete the entire project.

Are you using the meteostation stuff. I saw a lot of activity in the github repo? Lot of improvement ?

The problem with video is they are quickly outdated because software evolved. If you take a look at Jasem YouTube Channel, you can see a lot of change in ekos between the first and the last video.
What about official documentation? Maybe it's a good idea to make short video tutorial and make a review of the doc in the same time?

What about live astro session and multilingual video?

Yes it's working again with help of the sun. Did you try to dry it with an hair dryer?

Thank you, it was a lot of work and hopefully some piece of the project were already done.

We'll see at the end of october if everything works as planned. I forgot to say that raspberry is in readonly mode to avoid corrupted data in case of electric failure. I can access to the allsky via ssh to change python code and also to upload sketch in arduino with command line.

The external DHT22 is the side of the allsky and after taking a shower :pinch: , humidity sensor was saturated for a long time. So I'm using the hack of the year found in my garbage : a plastic bottle cap, some glue. Just have to cut, one side of the cap to let air passing throuh.

For the gauge, I'm using the meteostationmeteostation tutorial. I like them, this is javascript :

Raspberry with INDI which control a QHY5-II under the dome. The raspberry controls also an arduino. All sensors are attached to the arduino.

At first, I wanted to use meteoduino to control the sensor but the number of output is limited and difficult to program. I spent a lot of time with it and decided to give it up. So I program arduino to speak via serial and raspberry is listening through python code.

For the sensors :
- anemometer with mean and max value
- IR sensor as cloud sensor
- Internal DHT22 to measure temperature and humidy inside the seal box
- External DHT22 to measure temperature and humidity outside the box
- Internal BMP280 to measure pressure
- Solar panel to measure ambiant light
- Rain sensor with temperature control

I made one this summer. It's on the road to the Chile somewhere on a boat in the middle of Atlantic ocean

I made a quick test with my QHY5. The log message indicates 1e-06 to 600s bounds. I was able to perform a 1µs frame with my old QHY5.

As always, Jasem, your are a master.

Topic solved.

Thank you Jasem,

It's much more reliable. I will test it next week with my own QHY5.
The QHY5II for the allsky is on the way for the Chili ^^. I will update indi at the end of october.

I pulled request yesterday to change 1ms minimum exposure to 0.1ms.
We have to wait and see now

Hi Indi community,

I'm using indi to make an allsky camera with a QHY5-II.
It seems the minimum exposure value is only 0,001s (1ms) : Requested exposure value (0.0001) seconds out of bounds [0.001,3600] in ekos

But with 1ms and the minimum gain, I'm always overexposed during the day : white frame.

I found this values on a commercial website : Minimum Exposure 20us / Maximum Exposure 10 minutes

Is it possible top update this values ?

Sébastien.

it works :cheer: :woohoo:

Amazing. I can import the PyIndi library without error. Really good. I spend 3 days on this, my eyes are tired and blood tinted.

It's time to go to bed. Big thank you. Next step is to download a picture. I'll keep you in touch geehalel.

This is really weird. I'm completly lost.
Whatever I'm trying like you wrote, setup is ending well but in python, I can't import PyIndi library without error :

Can you write the full procedure to build it from start (ie pyindi-client download) with indi1.4.1 and Raspbian Jessie ?

I will start with a fresh raspbian and a fresh indi 1.4.1.

Maybe it's a good idea to refresh this webpage http://indilib.org/support/tutorials/166-installing-and-using-the-python-pyndi-client-on-raspberry-pi.html to work with raspbian and latest version of indi

Nope, it's not working. Same python error.

Thank for testing this. I'm building an allsky camera and everything needs to be ok because the camera will take picture from Chili.

So if I setup a 1.3 indi version, you think it will work ?

From bug to bug :(

So, I keep trying with your advice. I compile it again with

libraries=

It works but when I try an import in python

import PyIndi

I get this error

After log checking, the python install procedure fail because this is a pre-release.

version 0.1.0a1 is a pre-release (use --pre to allow)

This resolve the pip error but after using
pip install --pre pyindi-client

I have this error again about library localization : /usr/bin/ld: ne peut trouver -lindi[code][code]/usr/bin/ld: ne peut trouver -lindi[code]
