HEQ5 keeps thinking it is not pointing at polaris? was created by Ian Nelson

I have just upgraded from a AZ GTi to a 2nd hand HEQ5
I have purged mount data and set parking ok
I have also gone to Kstars and right clicked and sync'd the position so the mount cross hairs show over polaris.

However, when I click on polar align - the mount cross hairs jump miles away from polaris
It captures and solves 1st image but fails on 2nd

I can't understand why the mount position jumps away from polaris when I click on polar align?

please help

Could you check your geographical location is correct both in Ekos and indi when the device is connected? Could you include some screenshots?
