Hi all

I am stuck at the moment to get my old trusty Nikon D300s to cooperate/take some Pictures using the latest Stellarmate 1.5.9 version. I connected it directly to the Raspi 4B or the Pegasus Astro UPBv2 and can See it in the PTP Mode, but when trying to do a test/Preview exposure, it sais it fails to ooen Serial Port. I do not have a shutter release Calbe connected and was under the impression, i do not need any..Am I wrong or did Imessed up my config? I think i once managed to take a sampleshot with that config. Are you guys able to help me here out?

Thanks for the Help

Best Florian

It should really try to open a serial port unless one is specified? Did you put something in there?

It does and then i get the error saying it fails to open serial port 1 ( even when only the Nikon camera is connected). Did created a sim peofile with only the Nikon cam as Main CCD.

well, it tries to open a serial port (1 in this case) but as 7 have no shutter cabel connected it fails and does not take a picture. do i need such a shutter cable attached in addition to the regular USB cabel ?
