Histogram bits ?

Histogram bits ? was created by Nick Birkett

I am using an ASI 294MC/QHY294MM . I notice that in the past fits viewer->histogram used to show 0-65535 levels (16 bit), but these days all my histograms show 0-255 (8bit).
Definitely using 16 bit raw in indi options for each camera. Fits header says BITPIX 16 . Statistics show min and max as 0 -65534. Is this correct or did I miss a new setting ?

Settings --> Configure KStars --> FITS --> Uncheck non-linear histogram.
