Son of a gun, I finally figured out how to turn off the FITS viewer and WALA... I can take more than two photos and have them saved to the raspberry pi. Thank you so much. Now I can use my Bahtinov mask. I wish that the FITS viewer can be fixed.

Malcolm, you were right again. I went and looked and I was running Kstars 3.5.7. I have updated to 3.5.8. If I get clear skies, I will give it a run. Thanks again.
I am sorry to say that after upgrading to Kstars 3.5.8, I still cannot take more than a couple of photos with the Fits Viewer enabled. Kstars/Ekos crashes while downloading the image, just like when I first posted. Malcon has isolated this issue to the Fits viewer, since everything works fine as long as the Fits viewer is disabled. Any help on this issue is appreciated.
Jasem,
What relevant changes were made in KStars 3.5.9 beta?
Just yesterday I updated a system which I didn't update for a couple of months.
I am on a Stable channel and got updated to SM 1.7 (from 1.6.2) and KStars 3.5.9 beta (04/01/22).
Not sure why KStars 3.5.9 beta came through as I am on a Stable channel.

No, I am not using Ubuntu. I installed the Astroberry image on to my raspberry pi which came with Kstars. I then used Update/Upgrade from the command prompt to update to Kstars 3.5.8.
