Hey all,

I'm struggling to get my camera to connect to ekos on kstars. When I connect my camera and set it to manual it will briefly show up under lsusb, then after about 15-20 seconds it will disconnect:
astropi@astropi-aml-s905x-cc:~$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 008: ID 04a9:32e1 Canon, Inc. Canon Digital Camera
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 046d:c315 Logitech, Inc. Classic Keyboard 200
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 03c3:120d ZWO ASI120MM-S
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 05e3:0610 Genesys Logic, Inc. Hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
astropi@astropi-aml-s905x-cc:~$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 046d:c315 Logitech, Inc. Classic Keyboard 200
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 03c3:120d ZWO ASI120MM-S
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 05e3:0610 Genesys Logic, Inc. Hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

I have tried connecting it in ekos before it disappears, but I get the error that it fails to connect.
2023-01-27T21:42:27 Unable to establish:
+ Canon DSLR
Please ensure the device is connected and powered on.

I'm using the indi gphoto driver and have disabled automounting options.
Other devices such as my ZWO ASI120MM-S and iOptron SkyGuider Pro both connect to ekos successfully.

Running Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS on a Libre Computer s905x

Any help on resolving this issue would be appreciated.

Did you turn off power saving in your camera? It could be turning itself off automatically after a while.

You are a wonderful person! Thank you very much.

I was looking at the DSLR FAQ page and didn't see anything mentioned about this, is there another page I could reference as a DSLR knowledge base for troubleshooting if I run into other issues?
