Hi to all,
I would like to purchase the ASI071MC PRO.
I see from this site that this CCD should be works correctly with linux adding the correct PPA for firmware.
I also see taht should be some issue related to the USB bandwidth... so is not clear for me if the ASI071MC PRO is working well with Linux.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Paolo!

I own the somewhat similar ASI0294MC Pro and it works flawlessly in Indi/Ekos/Kstars.

I've been using an ASI071 pro for more then one year now. It has always been working seamlessly on Llinux (mate on rpi3).
No USB issue noticed,

it is my first astrophotography dedicated camera, previously I had DSLRs. So its hard to give a feedback based on a comparison with similar equipment (CCDs or other CMOSes)..
Said that, I'm very happy with the ASI071. It is fast, easy to use, flexible (I mean that can be used for differnt DSO like emission nebulaes and galaxies).
With an earlier version other users reported glow amp issues but I think it has been solved more than a year ago with the PRO version.

PS: sent you a PM
