Canon wrong raw image dimension & Pixel size? | SOLVED

Hi there
First two questions:
Whats the difference between choosing Ekos->CCD->CanonDSLR & GphotoCCD?
Whats the difference between Pixel size (µm) and Pixel size X/Y input under image info?
My Canon has 4.3µm pixel pitch so I have to enter 4.3 in this 3 fields?

I have a Canon 700D. It's default RAW (cr2) image dimension is 5184 x 3456. If I take raw/fits captures from ekos I always get 5208 x 3476 images no matter what I set in the image info tab. Is this known or maybe an upstream bug? When I set image settings to native I get correct sized images.

1. Same driver, no difference. For new users CanonDSLR is more intuitive that's all.
2. It should be all the same unless you have a non-square pixel.
3. I'll investigate that, sometimes dcraw returns bogus results especially on RPi.

ok thanx for the info
To be shure the resolusion issue is not limited by a missconfigured system I set up another linux box with latest Ubuntu.
Same happens there. If I open any *.cr2 file with ufraw,darktable.. I always get 5208 x 3476 pixels. When I look at it in dcraw
it shows thumb size correctly, but I guess the thumb was not generated by dcraw.
PS. I have no RPi, all systems are x64

5208x3476 is the correct decoded size. I tested with my 40D and I also got a different size when I viewed the CR2 but when I opened it in PixInsight and other programs I got the same size as reported by Ekos, the full "output size" as reported by dcraw.

For completeness sake, I want to paste Dave Coffin's explanation I just received to this issue:
