Hi, new ATIK driver and ATIK SDK with the support for ATIK One with internal filter wheel are available for testing from our INDI Resources page. Drivers are statically linked against the current INDI 0.9.9. Any feedback is welcome.

Hi Steve, hopefully yes, it should work with any Titan/3xx/4xx/One camera. Peter

Hi Steve, for legal reasons ATIK driver is distributed separately from INDI and Ekos but you can download it for free from here:

www.cloudmakers.eu/indi

It should run on any 32 or 64 bit Intel or ARM Linux including Kubuntu 14.10. Peter

Hi again Peter
Just installed the latest Atik driver and noticed its not an option in Ekos yet!. Is this likely to be because I haven`t installed the pc in the obs yet and the Atik hasn`t been plugged in as yet?
thanks

Hi,
thanks for keeping the atik drivers in synch with recent INDI development!

I downloaded the ATIK 0.2 driver version and tested with my ATIK Ex460. I observed that long exposures doesn't work with the driver anymore. It seems that the camera always exposes with a very short exposure time. There is no effect if I send an CCD_EXPOSURE_VALUE with an higher value, I always get the same short exposured result/image back. The server stdout reports the correct exposure durtion value, and the timerhit also seems to be correct, but the image is always dark :-(...

Did the INDI CCD interface change? Or did you change something with regard to exposure times?

Unfortunately I removed the old indi_atik_ccd driver so that currently I don't have a working driver. Could you provide an older driver version (<0.19), so that I can check again?

The camera is working correctly on windows so that I can rule out any issue with the camera itself.

Thanks and best regards,
Klaus

Sorry to hear that Klaus
I wonder if that will happen when I plug in my Atik ?? I could always choose the Atik driver in Ekos even if the ccd was connected or not but its not showing presently and I`m a few days away from putting the pc in the obs to try it. BTW I had a few problems going from Kubuntu 14.04 to 14.10 so I`ve gone back to 14.04 for now!

Hi Steve,
>I wonder if that will happen when I plug in my Atik ??
Not sure whether this issue is really caused by the driver. I am using my homemade client to control the INDI driver and devices. But I spent some time to rule out that this issue has to to with my client or the CCD camera itself... at least I know for sure that before the driver update everything worked perfectly.

> Kubuntu 14.04 to 14.10
Thanks for the info! I am running Kubuntu 12.04 maybe I should upgrade ;)...

Hi Klaus, that's bad, I have to check it.
Please can you try to run atik_ccd_test and check the output if there is some error detected?
All previous versions of the driver are available from our download site, just replace 0.20 for 0.19 in the file name. There are API changes in INDI, but ATIK driver is statically linked against INDI so it is not a problem.

Yes exactly, this driver supports multiple devices connected and if no camera is plugged in, no device is shown. Peter
