I'm not going to be able to easily test this...:
$ sudo apt-get install indi-full kstars-bleeding
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable

or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 kstars-bleeding : Depends: libraw20 but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
$ sudo apt-get install libraw20

The following additional packages will be installed:
  kstars-bleeding kstars-bleeding-data kstars-bleeding-dbg
The following packages will be REMOVED:

The following packages will be upgraded:
  kstars-bleeding kstars-bleeding-data kstars-bleeding-dbg
3 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 11 to remove and 312 not upgraded.
Need to get 135 MB of archives.
After this operation, 34.1 MB disk space will be freed.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n]

It's basically going to remove every other graphics program on the machine that I use.

Kstars and indi are having a conflict in dependencies. But jasem build the fixed version of kstars for ubuntu 20.04 and 18.04 what is your linux distro?

I'm using Kubuntu 20.04.

Is the amp control perhaps on the Image Settings tab?

So to avoid the libraw20 vs libraw19 conflicts-and-dependencies palaver, I opted to just install the newest indi-qhy and libqhy from the nightlies while leaving KStars as the stable version.

And...

I now get an INDI driver crash when starting Ekos.

So after that brief foray, I've had to return to using the old indi-qhy from stable.

Can you please attach the logs after turning on CCD + INDI settings in Ekos logging?

Odd, in the log it says this:
QHY CCD QHY294-ecb75246 : "[DEBUG] Ampglow Control: False "

So apparently the SDK thinks your camera has no amp control. My QHY174GPS (tested) actually returns true for this. There is an updated SDK in the nightly build, can you switch to that and see if that makes it any better? Otherwise, I'll contact QHY about it.

I think Jasem assigned the wrong order on On/Off setting :))
Edit: on second look the amp glow on the corner seems subdued with amp on.
